Kanye West is still fighting to postpone his divorce from Kim Kardashian. According to E! News, the 44-year-old rapper filed an opposition to Kardashian’s request to be declared legally single on February 18. West’s lawyer claims in official court filings, “Kim’s motion should be dismissed without prejudice so that she can resubmit it with the required amendments and restrictions laid forth in the proposed ruling. A hearing on these new requirements, on the other hand, should be scheduled.”
Kardashian filed for divorce from her estranged spouse after six years of marriage about a year ago, and news of West’s reaction came almost a year later. According to Variety, the divorce was “amicable” at the time, and Kardashian demanded shared legal and physical custody of their four children, which West apparently agreed to. However, the two have been in the news for a number of reasons since then.

West and Kardashian recently had a dramatic Instagram dispute about their eight-year-old kid, North West. “Because this is my first divorce, I’m not sure what I should do about my kid being forced to use TikTok.” In a since-deleted post on Feb. 4, West posed the question to Kardashian. “Kanye’s incessant desire for criticising me in interviews and on social media is honestly more hurtful than any TikTok North might produce,” Kardashian later wrote in her Notes app in response to his remark on her Stories. “As the primary provider and caretaker for our children, I am doing everything I can to safeguard our daughter while also enabling her to express her creativity in whatever media she chooses with adult supervision – because it brings her joy.”
